Every winter, the river Rhine spills over his bed, fed by snowmelt from upstream and high precipitation.
The annual flood was relatively high this year and inundated the whole of Bad Breisig's promenade.

Gulls were flying into the rays of the setting sun, which, before the contrasting background of dark clouds, lit them in a glowing white.
