~ Burg Adendorf, 01.06.2025 ~

A fair was held at Castle Adendorf, during which the private castle opens its gates. A rare opportunity!

The castle dates back to the middle ages and was given a substantial Renaissance makeover in the middle of the 17th century.

The court d'honneur, if it can still be called that since it's more of a garden, was crowded with stalls and had a mediterranean feel to it. The courtyard inside the castle proper looked very Renaissance.

I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to visit, and the fair was blessed with fair weather, too.
