It's heavily agricultural, with farms, fields and pastures all around.
There are a golf course and an ostrich farm in the area too.
There is no real village centre. A street (out of a handful) with older houses leads up to the village's church.
The choir dates to the middle ages, while the nave was rebuilt in the 19th century. It's beautifully decorated all throughout.
Kirchdaun is a tiny village off any major roads or hiking trails, easily overlooked.
