~ Bad Bodendorf, Lohrsdorf, 25.03.2024 ~

I set out on a walk from Bad Bodendorf's residential area right of the Ahr.

The ravages of the 2021 flood are still visible, but the minigolf course has been rebuilt.

I originally wanted to walk downstream, but changed my mind and headed upstream towards Lohrsdorf.

There's only open fields and some gardens between Bad Bodendorf and Lohrsdorf this side of the railroad.

I paid a visit to the small flock of African sheep that have been here for at least the last four years.

At Lohrsdorf, I crossed the street and ascended the vinyards.

The path offered a great view of the valley, with Ehlingen to the left and Heimersheim to the right.

Behind a bend, the vinyards make ways for hillside meadowed orchards, and the Rhine valley comes back into view, Bad Bodendorf and Sinzig before it.

The path leads into a bit of forest, which continues at the top along the rim of the valley.

I took a path down into Bad Bodendorf.
