The Nordstadt quarter of Bonn, home to many foreigners and university students.
Its 19th century streets bloom pink with cherry blossoms every spring.

I was hardly the only one who had the idea to take photos that day.

The cherry blossom only became such an attraction in recent years. Hardly a decade ago, only locals knew and quietly appreciated it.

Due to the popularity and event character of this, the government mandated the use of masks outdoors this year.
