~ Oberwinter, 29.03.2025 ~

I went to see if the cherries were blossoming in Oberwinter, but they weren't yet, so I explored the forest above the town instead.

Beyond a vantage point overlooking the entire town, the path continues up into the forest, still in its winter undress.

The path winds around the slope and up another hill until it leads the the dead end of a residential area.

Between the houses, a narrow little footpath, part of it blanketed in white petals, forms a shortcut to the town's cemetery.

An unremarkable underpath leads under the railway tracks and into the town's heart, charming as always.

Although the old town is essentially but a single street with a few small alleys, it's very charming and rich with architecture both rustic and refined.

Spring is nice!
