~ Puppenmuseum Bad Breisig, 31.10.2024 ~

The doll museum of Bad Breisig only opens on a few days every year.
My late grandmother liked dolls, so I wanted to take a looki.

I was actually more interested in seeing dollhouses, as snapshots of idealised historical interiors. Fortunately, the museum indeed had many on exhibit.

The museum displays (and, in its own workshop, restores) restores all kinds of dolls, from toys to fashion mannequins. Most are from around 1900.

Only half of the rooms are arranged for display. At the back, next to the workshop, are a few rooms which rather serve as storage or staging area; but you can visit them, and they hold many treasures.
