~ Remagen, 07.05.2022 ~
A couple of stalls were erected in the oldest corner of the city, by the small Roman museum. They each exhibited some aspect of Roman daily life – fabrics, education, and so forth, which were explained to curious passerbies by costumed staff.
A few stalls advertised other cultural herage sites in the state. Reenactors in legionaire armor patrolled the street, and others held mock gladiator battles.
I didn't have much time today, so I didn't linger.
This weekend there was a Roman-themed street exhibition/festival in Remagen, to celebrate the city being added to some UNESCO World heritage thing on account of being founded a s Roman military camp and having some fragments of a Roman wall still standing.
