On the Victoriaberg stand the ruins of the “Waldburg” (Forest Castle), a 19th century hotel.
Once famed for its magnificent view, it was closed down in 1970 and has since fallen into ruin.

There's a certain beautiful irony to it that this imitation of a castle, in being abandoned and reclaimed by the forest, comes to authentically resemble its mediæval inspirations.
